Our objective is to help our clients navigate the construction process in a way that results in a smooth and enjoyable experience. DCS works to make design decisions and choose materials that maximize the return on investment by leveraging our many years working in the construction and real estate industries. Our focus is on matching each project to what is pre-existing. While new construction projects may have few limitations, renovation projects require careful attention to aesthetic and financial choices. It can be just as costly to “under build” (think vinyl windows in a historic home) as it is to “over build” in a location that may never return what you have invested in your project. We strive to help our clients make wise decisions on where to compromise (on wants or on the budget), and where to hold the line.

New Residential Construction

Your new construction project will begin with engaging an architect, engineer, or residential designer. DCS will work with your design professionals, or we can refer you to our frequent partners. In either case, we prefer to have involvement from the earliest stage possible, as identifying challenges in execution during the design stages can greatly improve the building experience during construction.

We typically work with a design professional through the planning and design process, and then execute construction to bring those plans to life.
